project story

Article

De Nieuwe Maan is a weekly Dutch television programme. It is an afternoon talk show in which the developments within the Muslim community are central. The show was initially called De Halve Maan. It was made since 2010 by the NTR on behalf of the NPO in the context of Muslim broadcasting time. In the year 2016, it was broadcasted every Friday on NPO 2. Since 2020 it is presented by Ajouad El Miloudi. The presentation was previously in the hands of (chronologically) Aad van den Heuvel & Naeeda Aurangzeb, Nadia Moussaid and after that Fidan Ekiz took over the presentation. Reporter Danny Ghosen gauges the public opinion among Muslims in the Netherlands as well as Europe every other week. In addition to the current events, there is attention for culture, lifestyle, fashion and humour.
